Two Poems
-Md. Sahedul Islam Hira
You!
Your smile heals me
but I’m blind to look at faces,
your voice cures me
but I’m deafened to hear voices
your company refreshes me
but I’m abandoned to stay
your games rejoice me
but I’m paralyzed to play
your touch revives me
but I’m resigned to live
your madness frees me
but I’m chained to dive
your fingers draw me
but my existence is a lie
you completed me
but I’m permitted to die.
LIFE
Some people call me mad as they’re not,
Some are smiling at me like I am a jerk;
Sometimes they sound to me filthy – hell’s cot-
At the end of the tired day, it seems they bark.
Kins do throw cold water to put me down,
Clan starts doubting my inner power;
The beloved world feels kind of unknown,
But everything washed away while taking shower.
Friends are singling me from their group party,
Darlings- sudden- ditch me without reason;
Heart starts questioning, “Am I nutty?”
But I am taking everything as a lesson.
Only soul says as I listen, “Never give up!”
So, all start praising at last with a big thumbs up.
