Fallen Leaves

Akbar Fida Anonta

The autumn of the distant rain hits us
All the leaves turning in tears-
All the mores and less mimicking the fear
And yet, we can’t be together

We tried to ease it all, to let it get through
But, did it really matter?
One went with the flow of the unforsaken tides
All the more and less mimicking this fear

Is it really cruel of one to think for the other?
Is it only the pain that makes us?
Is it the only thing that one is capable of feeling?
The distant feeling of love and friendship,
The distant mile we all tried to cross together as one..

Well, he tried, one tried
Really did
But she, the other one, didn’t get it.
And now…well…
The autumn of the distant rain
