(Poem) Tower of Destroyed Dreams

By Naheen Taba

The dreams I had with you all abolished with the tower of memories I made in,

It is all very well.

If we can’t happen, everything should fail.

Let no wall speak of the love

you and I whispered in the audio roll wishing our parents wouldn’t hear.

Short but real.

Lived in the rears

of the virus

but with dreams we went ahead.

Separated our ways.

Rare but fair

those times sometimes fade.

First love still stays.

Nothing to get rid of.

Nothing to wait for.

Nostalgia with a strange scent

of that little city still hits me different.

Maybe you chose to forget.

I remember

even though I don’t care.

I care for you

though I don’t share.

Just like the first day I fell for you.

Just like the very first dare.
