The So-Called Society

Poetry

Radia-Al-Rashid

Look at all the babies around you

Learn to cry exactly like them,

You can’t act however you want to.

We just don’t want you to look lame.

You are now learning to walk-

Don’t stumble or we’ll laugh,

Look out and be meticulous to talk

Oh dear! It’s not really that tough.

Dress nicely as we are always here to judge,

It’s inevitable. We cannot help but hate;

So, be perfect as your flaws, you can’t fudge.

This is us, who will determine your fate.

You can’t eat whatever you want

Just stop pigging out,

You will be considered as a fatty cunt,

We can say it without any doubt.

Be ashamed of who you are-

You are a vile and ugly fool,

Change your figure, destroy your hunger

It’s time to be finally called “beautiful!”

Love yourself and be confident

But just the way we direct,

You are not allowed to vent

Your feelings, as it’s important how others react.
