A Brief Encounter

The glittering light over the chimney top was reflecting in the bush directly. The green grasses were moving as if they attained a sensational embellishment. Smokes of cloud beguiled me and the mist of plume resembled a bunch of cotton. The cool breeze was dancing in waves everywhere and the blooming flowers, pristine and precious. Birds of many kinds were out to collect food for their infants. Some of them were sucking on the nectar, calm and serene.

I was utterly amazed at the exquisite beauty of nature. I was having a quality time in that place. Overall, I was fully oriented in that and that moment only. While glancing through some more spellbinding features of the forest, abruptly my mind got diverted due to a miserably loud screeching noise which was coming somewhere from deep within the greeneries. Because of this noise I was unable to focus on what I was doing. I became very dreary as my sole attention was disrupted. On the other hand, my ears were bursting due to the deafening sound which just would not let me absorb the peaceful moments. I was forced to go inside the forest in order to find where the noise was coming from.

Half an hour later I took an errand into the forest. It was densely covered with green plants.  Large shadows of trees were dispersed throughout the surface, creating ghost-like silhouettes in the darkness that crept in and out all over the plane. Afterwards, I was wondering about the noise that I couldn’t hear anymore. It made me feel relieved and so I decided to go back where I was. On my way out, suddenly I discovered some outstanding deer. I reckon they were the ones who were making this unfamiliar noise.

All those deer were looking so adorable and lovely together. For the very first time I was experiencing how they look like at a very close range. I tried to remember where I had read about the wild deer and how they are very dangerous, especially the male ones. Luckily here we had only a female deer along with its two fawns. But the deer seemed very anxious at the same time, nervously trotting around. Certainly, after seeing her reaction I presumed that either something was bothering her or she was in trouble. My curiosity pulled me towards her.

As I moved closer, that deer didn’t move an inch, remaining in the same position. Undoubtedly this was not something usual for a wild deer.

Right at that particular moment that creature eventually showed me something I was not expecting to see. It was a poor fawn of hers who was stuck in the middle of a smaller hole in the ground and it was too tiny and helpless to come out from there. In a quick motion I stepped forward to give a helping hand and save its life.

I gave my utmost effort to pull it up, being very careful not to hurt it in any way.

And it was a vision to behold! The mother and her kid, together.

I might be wrong, but it seemed for a second that she bade me farewell with tears in her eyes, thanking me several times for saving its fawn.

If you ask me, that one single momentary encounter I had with the deer was the greatest incredible adventure I have ever had. I wholeheartedly thanked the Almighty for giving me such a wonderful privilege.

This authentic experience gave me chances to relive the beautiful memory time and again, a golden chance to save the little creature who was seeking help.

Coming to think of the word … we all do need a helping hand time to time, don’t we?

Makes us humans, don’t you think?
